Broken wrist sustained in supermarket slip
A Croydon resident, Mrs J, was shopping at her local supermarket when she slipped on some spilt orange juice in one of the aisles. She fell to the floor injuring her knee and breaking her wrist in the process.
Mrs J instructed Bakers Personal Injury Solicitors to help her win compensation for her injuries. At first the supermarket denied legal liability claiming they had a proper system of cleaning through their own contract company.
They produced records to prove it. When we examined the records closely we noticed that the year had been surprisingly changed. When we challenged the supermarket’s head office, they eventually admitted liability. We then helped Mrs J focus her claim on her injury to her wrist and her losses.
After waiting for full medical evidence and for Mrs J to be well enough to return to work, her claim was settled for just over £80,000.00. Mrs J was delighted with the outcome.
