Farnborough man bitten by Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Our client Mr JT was walking his daughter's dog in a residential area of Farnborough when without provocation a Staffordshire bull terrier attacked him. He made an appointment at the local Citizens Advice Bureau where Bakers Personal Injury Solicitors were providing 'free advice' to members of the public.
Following his free CAB appointment, Mr JT instructed Bakers Personal Injury Solicitors to take on his claim. The Staffordshire bull terrier was believed to have attacked before and was not on a lead, was unsupervised and unmuzzled having left its owner’s property via an open front door. The owner’s household insurers admitted the dog’s owners had been negligent and agreed to deal with the claim.
Mr JT suffered multiple dog bite injuries to both forearms which required admission to hospital and skin grafts. Understandably the attack also had a psychological impact on Mr JT who was diagnosed as suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Bakers Solicitors helped him win in excess of £10,000 in compensation for his injuries.
