Run over by partner in a freak road traffic accident!

A lover's tiff turned to tragedy when poor Mr A was run over by his partner! Mr A was arguing with his girlfriend and she stormed out of the house. She started the car and he attempted to get in but it had already started moving and rolled over his foot.

Bakers Personal Injury Solicitors was instructed to help Mr A make a claim for compensation against his girlfriend’s insurers. They admitted blame as she had been clearly negligent for not taking care of her passenger - even though the couple might have had an argument, that is no excuse to run someone over.

She should have taken more care. Mr A’s foot injuries were fairly serious but were also complicated by some circulatory problems which caused a deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is when a small clot occurs and causes the blood to stop flowing properly. After numerous blood tests and blood thinning drugs, Mr A made a full recovery.

We recorded a full award of compensation of £7,000.
